Ivan Ivanovich Sajenko [ ɪvan ɪvanəv ʲ ɪt ʲ ɕ sʌjɛnkə ] (Russian: Иван Иванович Саенко, scientific transliteration Ivan Ivanovich Saenko, English transcription Ivan Saenko; born October 17, 1983 in Maslowka, Voronezh Oblast, Soviet Union ) is a retired Russian football player.

Career

Ivan Sajenko comes from a successful football family, his father is the coach of the Russian women's football champions FC Energy Voronezh.

Association

He played in Russia for FK Fakel Voronezh, before he was discovered by Karlsruher SC in 2001 and contracted. After only two substitutions in 2001 he collected in the first half of 2002 once more match practice at Torch Voronezh in the second highest Russian league before he was played out of the second division season 2002/ 03 fixed to the Karlsruhe team. Nevertheless, he came in his first six months infrequently used. With the start of the new season in March 2009 he was part of the starting eleven and played in the first 13 games. Then he retired to a meniscus injury, which did not let him get used to in the next season into it. On matchday six in April 2010, he returned for the first time in the team back and played back in the trunk of the team. But after a few months the meniscus injury broke out again and drew another premature end of the season. She then failed to return to professional football and Sajenko finished his career with 27 years.

National

Ivan Sajenko was also captain of the Russian U- 21 team and was from 2006 also in the squad of the Russian national team. On 11 October 2006 he had there his first international short appearance. In February 2007, he was employed in a friendly match for the whole 90 minutes.
