Ivano Edalini

Ivano Edalini ( born August 20, 1961 in train in Switzerland ) is an Italian former Alpine skier.

Biography

For the first time in the World Cup points finish came Edalini on February 9, 1982 in the giant slalom in Kirchberg in Tirol, where he finished 14th. Throughout his career, the slalom was his strongest discipline. Here he reached the podium for the first time on 10 December 1984, when he was third in Sestriere. At the same place he repeated on December 1, 1985 this placement. On 6 January 1986 Edalini won with the parallel slalom on the Hohe-Wand -Wiese in Vienna his first World Cup race. His second and last World Cup victory was on 16 December 1986 at the traditional slalom of the 3 - Tre race in Madonna di Campiglio before Ingemar Stenmark.

Ivano Edalini ended his career on March 19, 1988 at a 15th place in the slalom at Åre.
