Ivica Dragutinović

Ivica Dragutinović (Cyrillic Ивица Драгутиновић; born November 13, 1975 in Prijepolje, SFR Yugoslavia), also played as Drago, is a former Serbian football player. Both the club Sevilla FC, as well as the Serbian national team, he played on the preferred positions of the central and left defender.

Career

In the club

Dragutinović began his professional career in 1993 at Borac Čačak and changed in 1996 in the Belgian First Division for KAA Gent. There he was employed in 84 official matches until he was transferred in the summer of 2000 when his contract expired free transfer to the Premier League rivals Standard Liege. In 2004 and 2005 he was captain of the team. In the summer of 2005 he left Belgium and has since played at FC Sevilla in the Spanish Primera División.

After the 2010/11 season, in which he was able to record only one use to Dragutinović separated from FC Sevilla. July 1, 2011 Dragutinović ended his career as an active player.

In the National Team

In the national football team of Serbia and the former national football team of Serbia and Montenegro, he was regularly set as a regular player. English media titled him next Mladen Krstajić, Goran Gavrančić Nemanja Vidić and, by only one goal in the qualifying matches for the 2006 World Cup in Germany as Famous Four defensive, which was regarded as the strongest defensive line in the world. With the Football World Cup in 2006, he completed a game against the Netherlands.
