2005–06 UEFA Cup
The UEFA Cup 2005/ 06 was the 35th edition of the competition in which 96 teams from 51 state associations took part. The Sevilla FC won the final against Middlesbrough FC at the Philips Stadion in Eindhoven 4-0 and was first UEFA Cup winners.
Entitled to participate were all the clubs who had occupied one of the matters governed by the UEFA five year ranking UEFA Cup places in the past to end the season.
