2006 in Russian football

The 2006 season was the 5th of Premjer League, the top Russian football league. It started on 17 March 2006 with the game Torpedo Moscow vs. Tom Tomsk and ended on 26 November 2006. From 17 May to 5 July paused the league so that players could participate in the Football World Cup 2006.

At the end of the season CSKA Moscow and Spartak Moscow had the same score, CSKA was due to the more retracted wins Russian title.
