Jablonica
Jablonica ( German Jablonitz ( a), Hungarian Jablánc - to 1907 Jablonic ) is a municipality in western Slovakia.
Location
It is located in the region Zahorie the river Myjava at the foot of the Little Carpathians under a Pass, 10 km from Senica and 30 km from Trnava.
History
The village was first mentioned in 1262 as a villa Jobluncha and lay on a trade route from the Kingdom of Hungary to Bohemia. The name of the village comes from the Slovak word Jablon, which refers to wood apple trees in the area.
