Jack Cameron (ice hockey)

John Archibald "Jack" Cameron ( born December 3, 1902 in Ottawa, Ontario, † 29 December 1981 in Danville, Virginia, United States) was a Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender. At the Olympic Winter Games in 1924 he won the gold medal as a member of the Canadian national team.

Career

Jack Cameron began his career as a hockey player with the St. Andrew College Juniors, where he was active in the season 1921/22. Subsequently, the goalkeeper moved to the Toronto Granites, which he in the season 1922/23, went straight to Allan Cup, the Canadian Amateur Championship title won. With the Granites, he represented Canada at the 1924 Winter Olympics. Later he moved to the U.S. where he died in 1981 at the age of 79 years.

Internationally

For Canada, Cameron participated in the Olympic Winter Games in 1924 in part in Chamonix, where he won the gold medal with his team. Throughout the tournament he allowed only a goal.
