Jacqueline Wilson

Jacqueline Wilson DBE ( born December 17, 1945 in Bath) is a British writer.

Jacqueline Wilson wrote detective novels and the book the Mitternachtsfee, radio plays and numerous children 's and youth books. She has a grown daughter and lives in Kingston upon Thames. In an opinion poll conducted by the BBC four of her books have been selected in the list of 100 most popular books in Britain. In June 2002 and 2008, she was " Order of the British Empire" awarded one.

On the 2003 compiled by the BBC list BBC Big Read is found Jacqueline Wilson four times (!): Ranked 31 with " The incredible story of Tracy Baker ", number 80 with " Charlie's double life ", number 86 with " Vicky Angel" and place 98 with " Girls In Love ".

Jacqueline Wilson was appointed Children's Laureate 2005-2007. She is now two-time honorary doctor.
