Action

In a bar of spirited Vince Everett is drawn from a stranger in a fight. Vince kicks once too often, dying stranger. Vince is therefore sentenced to 14 months in prison for Negligent homicide. In the prison environment, he develops into an unfeeling cynic. His cellmate, the country singer Hunk Houghton, recognizes after a prison show, which is broadcast on television, that Vince is a singing talent, and takes him under contract.

After Vince 's release learn this Peggy, the young advertising assistant to a record company know. Both start their own record company. Under Peggy's Director Vince is a star. But because of his arrogant nature, he does not realize that Peggy more than just a business partner sees in him - she loves him.

Vince is now also working with his old prison buddy Hunk after his release. Vince treated Hunk but so humiliating that this Vince one day be reflected in anger and critically injured in the larynx.
