Jaime Peters

Jaime Peters ( born May 4, 1987 in Pickering, Ontario ) is a Canadian soccer player who is under contract with the English club Ipswich Town since 2005.

Career

Peters played in his youth for the German club 1.FC Kaiserslautern. In 2005 he joined the English second division side Ipswich Town, before he leaned including a bid for the reserve team of FC Chelsea from. In Ipswich Peters has usually been ignored, only in the 2006/07 season he was regularly used in the seasons 2007/ 08 and 2008/ 09, he completed a total of only eight league appearances for Ipswich and therefore the beginning of 2008 for half a year at the third division side Yeovil Town and early 2009, awarded for a month to the fourth division FC Gillingham.

National

Peters went through all Canadian team selection and was one in particular at the U -20 team for years to permanent employees. 2005 and 2007 he was part of the contingent of U- 20 at the Junior World Championships in the Netherlands and Canada. Both times divided the team in the first round. In 2005 he was also the youngest player in the squad of the Canadian national team for the CONCACAF Gold Cup and was substituted by coach Frank Yallop in all three group games. His international debut he was already 17 years old in a World Cup qualifier against Guatemala. In 2009 he again took part in the CONCACAF Gold Cup.
