Jake Johnson

Jake Mark Johnson ( born May 20, 1979 in Evanston, Illinois) is an American actor who is best known for the sitcom New Girl.

Career

Between 2006 and 2010, Johnson played in several film and television roles with. Among other things, in Curb Your Enthusiasm! , Lie to Me, or FlashForward. In 2011, he starred in the romantic comedy Friends with Benefits alongside Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher. Since 2011 he plays a starring role in the Fox comedy series New Girl, which was one of eight winners in the category exciting new series at the Critics' Choice Television Awards, voted by journalists who had seen the pilot episode.

Private life

Johnson was born in Evanston, Illinois, a northern suburb of Chicago. Johnson likes basketball and tennis, he is both a member of the Sunday Men's Basketball League and the Interstate 5 Tennis Association.

He is married to the artist Erin Payne.
