Jakob Josef Petuchowski

Jakob Josef Petuchowski ( born July 30, 1925 in Berlin, † November 12, 1991 in Cincinnati ), often only Jacob J. Petuchowski, was an American research professor of Jewish religion and liturgy at the Jewish Institute of Religion at Hebrew Union College, Cincinnati.

Petuchowski emigrated in 1948 to the United States and studied at the Hebrew Union College, he was ordained as a rabbi in 1952. His team at the Christian-Jewish dialogue resulted religion born in Germany rabbi from 1973 back several times to his native country. Some of his works, such as his " Rabbinical stories " It taught our Masters (1979 ) or the Dictionary of Jewish-Christian Encounter (1989 ), published in German language.
