Jakubov

Jakubov (Slovak to 1927 " Jakubové "; German Jakobsdorf, Hungarian Nagyjakabfalva - to 1907 Jakabfalva ) a municipality in Okres Malacky within the Bratislavskı is kraj in Slovakia.

Geography

The place is located in the Záhorská nížina ( Zahorie lowlands ) in the landscape on the river Zahorie Malina and is located 8 kilometers west of the city Malacky and about 10 kilometers from the Austrian town of Angern away at the March.

West and south of the municipality extends the nature reserve Zahorie.

History

The village was first mentioned in writing in 1460. In the 16th century it belonged to the Szerédy family and belonged to the manor of Castle bladder stone. 1703 a fire burned the place down completely.

Until 1918, the place was in the county Bratislava within the Kingdom of Hungary, after which he came to the newly formed Czechoslovakia.
