James Michael Moynihan

James Michael Moynihan (* July 16, 1932 in Rochester ) is Bishop Emeritus of Syracuse.

Life

James Michael Moynihan received on 15 December 1957, the ordination to the priesthood for the Diocese of Rochester.

Pope John Paul II appointed him on 4 April 1995 as Bishop of Syracuse. The Archbishop of New York, Cardinal John Joseph O'Connor, donated him on 29 May of the same year, the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were Joseph Thomas O'Keefe, Bishop Emeritus of Syracuse, and Matthew Harvey Clark, Bishop of Rochester.

On 21 April 2009, Pope Benedict XVI. its age-related resignation.
