James Trobec

James Trobec (* July 10, 1838 in Billichgrätz, Austria - Hungary, † December 15, 1921 in Brockway Township, Minnesota, USA) was Bishop of Saint Cloud.

Life

James Trobec received on 8 September 1865, the sacrament of Holy Orders.

On July 5, 1897, he was named Pope Leo XIII. Bishop of Saint Cloud. The Archbishop of Saint Paul, John Ireland, donated to him on 21 September of the same year the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were the Archbishop of Milwaukee, Frederick Xavier Katzer, and the Bishop of Sault Sainte Marie and Marquette, John Vertin.

On April 15, 1914 James Trobec resigned as Bishop of Saint Cloud and Pope Benedict XV. appointed him on 28 May 1914 Titular Bishop of Lycopolis.
