Jamie O'Neill (snooker player)

Jamie O'Neill ( born August 19, 1986) is an English snooker player. He lives in Wellingborough and trained at the Windmill Snooker Club.

Career

As an amateur O'Neill won the EBSA Junior Snooker Europe championship 2003 and the German Open Championship 2006. For the snooker main tour he was able to first qualify for the snooker season 2007/ 08 by the Pontin's International Open Series ( DIOS ) as the sixth of the prize money ranking ended. To this end, he helped a 6-2 final victory against Ashley Wright in the sixth of the eight tournaments. In the pros, he never got beyond the round of last 64, and therefore could not hold on to the main tour itself. For the snooker season 2010/11 he could qualify as the sixth of DIOS again. This time he could come out either in a full ranking tournament yet at one of the newly launched PTC tournaments over the round of last 64. Consequently, he again lost its professional status.

For the season 2011/12 he took - again as an amateur - at 11 of the 12 PTC tournaments, as well as qualifying for the World Snooker Championship 2012 part. He achieved his best result at the PTC Event 10 with the round of last 32 reaching He won against the pros and Matthew Selt David Gilbert, before Dominic Dale was beaten. At the end of the season he was able to qualify to the group victory in the second tournament of the Q School for the third time for the main tour. He received a two-year ticket for the 2012/13 and 2013/14 season.
