Jan Polák (footballer born 1989)

January Polák ( born March 26, 1989 in Liberec) is a Czech football player.

Club career

January Polák began playing football at the age of seven years with Slovan Liberec. He went through all the youth teams and was the 2006/07 season appointed by the A- youth in the senior squad. His debut in the Gambrinus League celebrated the defensive talent on March 12, 2007 at the home game of his club against Slavia Prague. In the course of the season Polák came on three more missions over 90 minutes.

In February 2009 Polák was loaned until the end of the season 2008/ 09 on the FC Viktoria Plzeň. For the 2009/10 season he returned to Liberec. In July 2010, the defender joined on loan for a season to Erstligaaufsteiger FK Ústí nad Labem. After his return to Slovan Liberec he was at the end of the season 2011/12 Czech Master.

End of August 2012 joined the Polish first division Polák Piast Gliwice. He signed a one year contract until the end of June 2013.

National

January Polák played from 2004 to 2005 for the Czech Under-16 selection, the following season for the U17. In 2006 he ran for the U18 team, since 2007 he is employed in the U19 national team. In 2007, he stood in the squad at the UEFA European CAF Meridian Cup.
