Janek Tombak

Janek Tombak ( born July 22, 1976 in Põltsamaa, Estonian SSR, Soviet Union) is an Estonian cyclist.

Tombak is professional cyclist since 1999. From 1999 to 2005 he rode for the French team Cofidis - Le Crédit par Téléphone. At the start of the 2006 season he drove for the Estonian Kalev Chocolate Team, from 1 June 2006 for the Belgian cycling team Jartazi - 7Mobile. He twice participated in the Tour de France.

End of the 2009 season, he finished his career as a professional cyclist. In 2012, he was a comeback for the Belgian Continental team Geofco -Ville d' Alger.

Achievements

Janek Tombak was 2001 and 2003 Estonian Champion on the road. In 2005 he won the overall classification of the Tour de France in Picadie. Other successes have included stage wins at the Tour of Hesse, the Tour of Poland and the Tour of Denmark.
