János Parti

János Parti [ja ː noʃ pɒrti ] ( born October 24, 1932 in Budapest, † March 6, 1998 ) was a Hungarian canoeist and Olympic champion.

He began in 1951 with the Canoeing. As early as 1952 he won at the Olympic Games in Helsinki the second place in the One - Canadians over 1000 meters behind Josef Holeček from Czechoslovakia. In 1954 he took on the same track gold at the World Championships in Mâcon. At the Olympic Games in Melbourne in 1956, he took up on the 10,000 - meter course and finished second behind the Romanians Leon Rotman.

After he had become only fourth at the World Cup 1958 in Prague on the 1000 - meter course, he finished in 1959 at the European Championships in Duisburg second place.
