Janusz Gajos

Janusz Gajos ( born September 23, 1939 in Dąbrowa Górnicza ) is a Polish actor.

Life

Gajos is one of the most important theater and film actor Poland. He received at the Film School in Łódź his training. Since 1964 he has appeared in numerous film and television productions. He gained popularity, not least through the role of Jan " Janek " Kos in the Polish TV series Four tank men and a dog.

In 1980 he made ​​his first film with Andrzej Wajda: The conductor. This film was also honored with the Berlinale and Gajos played here with Sir John Gielgud and Andrzej Seweryn. A year later, he played in Wajda's Man of Iron on the side of Krystyna Janda.

One of his greatest successes was the film interrogation of a woman by Ryszard Bugajski 1982, which, however, was initially banned and was not performed until after the political changes in Poland in 1989 and awarded at the Cannes Film Festival.
