Jarcová

Jarcová ( German Jarzowa ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located three kilometers south of Valašské Meziříčí in the Moravian Wallachia and belongs to Okres Vsetín.

Geography

Jarcová is located at the northeastern foot of Hostýnské mountains on the left side above the valley of Vsetínská Bečva. Southeast of the Brdo rise ( 543 m), the Medůvka (608 m) and Poskla (534 m), in the south of the Prašivá (487 m ) and the west Písková ( 578 m). Below the village runs right side of Vsetínská Bečva the state road 57 and the railway between Valašské Meziříčí and Vsetín. The nearest train station is Brňov.

Neighboring towns are Drážky, Pod Kříkami and Valašské Meziříčí in the north, Křivé, Brdky, Podlesí and Oznice in the northeast, Řehlov, Podhájí and Malá Lhota in the east, Brňov the southeast, Paseky Potoky, Konvica, Bystřička and Žabárna in the south, Zavápenné, Písková and Oznice the southwest, Krplov and policy in the west and Branky, Dolni Dvůr Trnové, Vanova, Paseky u Revíru, Bražiska, Kotlina and Úlehla in the northwest.

History

The village was probably built in the wake of the great colonization phase. 1392 Jarczowa Lhota was first mentioned as part of the episcopal seigniory Arnoltovice - Meziříčí. Since 1505 the city was designated as Jarczowa. Jarczowa was the seat of a bailiff, the first name handed down in 1516 is detectable. From 1800 was taught in Jarczowa. The first school house was built 1823. 's Oldest town seal is from 1830 and shows the Jarcovská kula. The inhabitants lived from agriculture, earning extra income with the sale of wood products and odd jobs in Krasno and Valašské Meziříčí. Until the mid-19th century Jarcová was to rule Valašské Meziříčí submissive.

After the abolition of patrimonial Jarczowa formed in 1850 a municipality in the district team Valašské Meziříčí. Since 1872, the current local form of the name is used Jarcová. 1885, the railroad from White Moravian Church was inaugurated by Wsetin. Between 1893 and 1894 a new school house was built. After the abolition of Okres Valašské Meziříčí Jarcová in 1960 associated with the Okres Vsetín. Since 1993, the municipality performs a coat of arms and banners.

Attractions

  • Jarcovská kula, eight -meter-high free-standing cylindrical sandstone rocks, south-west over the village
  • Large sandstone cross in 1832, it was declared a cultural monument in 2002
  • Timbered Wallachian bell tower
  • Lookout tower Jarcová, west of the village at Krplov, the 14 m high wooden construction were built between 2008 and 2009 by Vilém Bystroň on his land, the tower is lit up at night, in eleven meters high is the viewing platform.
  • Memorial stone for Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk, west of the town on the nature trail TGM to Písková
