Jaromír Blažek

Jaromír Blazek [ jarɔ̹mi ː r blaʒɛk ] ( born December 29, 1972 in Brno ) is a Czech football goalkeeper.

Association

Blažeks eventful career began in Blansko near Brno and led from there to the capital Prague to the Czechoslovak first division club Slavia. As a goalkeeper he came there from 1990 to 1992 to his first Erstligaeinsätzen. He then spent a year as number 1 to České Budějovice.

In 1993, the division of Czechoslovakia and thus a new first league in which Blazek played for Viktoria Zizkov and with the trophy won his first title.

The following year, he moved back to the capital to FC Bohemians Prague. However, the Bohemians were relegated this year and instead of playing in the second division, he was loaned for a year at his old club Slavia Prague in the Premier League as a goalkeeper. After the resurgence of the Bohemians, he remained faithful, even when these two more years in the second division spent.

After the resurgence he took during the season the opportunity to go to the top club and series champions Sparta Prague and won with them two championships in a row.

But since he was not set as a goalkeeper, he went in 2001 for a year to league rivals Marila Pribram.

After his return in 2002 but he was able to prevail final and was the undisputed number one between the posts. Not only in the championship and in the two cup victories, but also in the numerous Champions League appearances of the club, he was considered an important support from Sparta Prague.

On 2 May 2007 announced the 1st FC Nuremberg that Blazek will play from the 2007/ 08 season for the Franks. He received a contract until the summer of 2009.

When FCN Blazek was obliged to replace Raphael Schäfer, who moved to VfB Stuttgart in the summer of 2007. As the number 2 in the preseason for the citizens of Nuremberg, Daniel Klewer, had convinced by good performances Cup, the goalkeeper question was only decided to start the season in favor of the more experienced Blazek. However, the eventful season for Blazek found shortly afterwards to a premature end when he had to be replaced after a hamstring tear in the abdominal wall and did not return in recent weeks to the end of the season. The 2007/08 season ended with the descent of the 1st FC Nuremberg in the Bundesliga 2.

After only one season with the Franks Blazek told in June 2008 with his return to Sparta Prague, where he received a two -year contract with an option for another year. There he came on August 9, 2008, the second game of the second division to a bet with the second team. His first try with the first team he had on October 19, 2008, the tenth match day. Then he came to the end of the season in all league games for use. After losing in the first round in 2011/12 his place, he moved to the winter break for second division FC Highlands Jihlava, which he ascended into the Gambrinus Liga.

National

From his time at Sparta Jaromír Blazek was also an issue for the Czech national team. On 29 March 2000 it was first used in a friendly match. In all the major tournaments he was there as number 2 for his country. He played at the 2004 European Championship group match against Germany, the Czech Republic won 2-1 and was also responsible for the Football World Cup 2006 in Germany, and the 2008 European Championship set in Austria and Switzerland in the Czech squad, although Petr on the undisputed number 1 Čech, Czech footballer of the Year, currently is no getting past.
