Jaroslav Řídký

Jaroslav Řídký ( born August 25, 1897 in Reichenberg, † August 14 1956 in Poděbrady ) was a Czech composer.

Řídký studied at the Prague Conservatory with Josef Bohuslav Foerster, Karel Boleslav Jirák and Jaroslav Křička. He taught here from 1924 to 1949, he was next 1924-1938 harpist of the Czech Philharmonic and 1925-1930 choral conductor of the Philharmonic Orchestra.

He composed seven symphonies and a Sinfonietta, a Serenade for Strings, a violin, a piano and two cello concertos, chamber music, piano pieces, cantatas and folksong arrangements.
