Jasenná (Náchod District)

Jasenná ( German Jasena, 1939-1945 ash ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located eight kilometers south-east of Jaroměř and belongs to Okres Náchod.

Geography

Jasenná lies in the southern part of the district Náchod and borders with its corridors to the districts Rychnov nad Kněžnou and Hradec Králové. The village is 4.5 km long and extends from Stary Ples southeast. Neighboring towns are Rychnovek and Šestajovice in the north, Slavětín nad Metují and Rohenice in the east, Králova Lhota and Librice in the south, Nový Ples, Vlkov and Rasošky in the west and Jaroměř and Stary Ples in the northwest.

History

Jasenná was first mentioned in 1280, when the Czech King Wenceslas II sold the towns Jasenná and Černilov to Hynek CENEK Leipa. From this acquired Jasenná Raymond of Lichtenburg. Later it was owned by the Bohemian King Charles IV He gave Jasenná the Prague Mansionaren, swapped them, however, in 1353 against other possessions that were closer to Prague.

Jasenná is agricultural. Most residents go gainful employment in the neighboring towns of Hradec Králové, Jaroměř and Nove Mesto nad after Metují.
