Jason Elam

Jason Elam ( born March 8, 1970 in Fort Walton Beach, Florida ) is a former American professional American football player. He played on the position of the kicker for the Atlanta Falcons and the Denver Broncos in the NFL.

Elam played in college for the University of Hawaii at Manoa, and was elected in 1993 by the Denver Broncos in the third round of the draft as 70ter players born in the NFL Draft. Since then, Elam was the Broncos faithful, and developed into one of the best and most consistent kicker the NFL. No player has scored more points for a team in his career as Elam for the Broncos. Only four players have scored more points in her career as Elam. When he scored a 63 -yard field goal against the Jacksonville Jaguars on 25 October 1998, Elam also unveiled a record for the longest ever scored field goal NFL history. It was not until 2013 the record was surpassed by Matt Prater.

Elam was elected three times to the Pro Bowl (1995, 1998, 2001 ) and won with the Broncos twice, the Super Bowl (1997, 1998).

In the free agency period 2010 Elam returned after a two-year interlude with the Atlanta Falcons back to the Broncos. The Broncos Elam signed a one -day contract and then ended his 17- year career. Elam played 15 of his 17 seasons with the Broncos, where he wanted to end his career.

With 1983 points in 236 games Elam is ranked five of the kicker with the most points.
