Mānoa district of Honolulu

The University of Hawaii at Manoa is a public university in the district Manoa [ Manoa ] of Honolulu in the U.S. state of Hawaii. With 20,549 students, it is the most important site of the University of Hawaii system.

History

The University was founded in 1907 as the College of Agriculture and Mechanical Arts, renamed in 1912 in the College of Hawaii, and received its present name in 1920.

Sports

The sports teams of the University of Hawaii Rainbow Warriors are the (men) and Rainbow Wahine ( women). Other names like Warriors or Rainbows also be used. The University is a member of the Western Athletic Conference.
