Javier Sierra

Javier Sierra ( Javier Sierra Albert, born August 11, 1971 in Teruel ) is a Spanish journalist and writer who is particularly concerned with historical puzzles, and with para-science.

Life and work

From an early Sierra was fascinated by the world of communication. At twelve, he had his own radio show in Radio Heraldo, 16 he wrote regularly for magazines and at 18 he was one of the founders of the magazine Año Cero. He studied Information Sciences at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid.

From 1998 to 2005 he was editor of the monthly magazine Más de la Ciencia Allá whose consultant he is today. He is also involved in various radio and television programs. He spends a lot of time traveling to investigate mysteries of the past and historical mysteries.

Sierra works with Spanish, but also international experts such as Graham Hancock and Robert Bauval, to get a supposed golden age of humanity on the track. This Golden Age is set 10,500 years ago and the origin of subsequent civilizations.

His novel The Secret Supper was issued in 40 countries and was one of the biggest international successes of Spanish literature. With him he reached in March 2006 as the first Spanish writer in the top ten best-seller list of The New York Times.

He was assistant at the anthology Relatos Sobre Ferroviarios Railes ( Imagine Ediciones, 2003), along with other writers like Juan Eslava Galán, Dulce Chacón, Espido Freire, Javier García Sánchez and Eugenia Rico. He also gave the novel La Cámara Secreta collection, the works of authors such as Christian Jacq, Philipp Vandenberg, Larry Collins, Valerio Evangelisti or Gérald Messadié contained, out and provided them with a preface.
