Jay Severin

Jay Severin (actually: James Thompson Severino III, born January 8, 1951 in Hudson Valley, New York) is an American radio host and political commentator. Severin worked between 2011 and 2012 as a presenter at the Boston WXKS -AM Talk 1200. Due to controversial remarks he was dismissed and was then hired by The Blaze Radio Network, the right-wing populist Glenn Beck in September 2012.

Life

Early years

Severin's mother worked as a writer and his father was adman. He spent youth in Poughkeepsie and studied at Boston University later.

Severin worked in New York City as a political consultant for David Garth. In 1979 he founded Severin Aviles Associates to support Republican candidates with media. His clients were also George Bush and the right-wing conservative politician Pat Buchanan.
