Jean de la Trémoille (1377–1449)

Jean de La Trémoille (* 1377, † 1449 ) was Lord of Jonvelle and member of La Trémoille. He was one of the highest dignitaries at the Burgundian court and assumed the duties of a Grand Maître and one Grand Chambellan the Dukes John the Fearless and Philip the Good true. Jean de La Trémoille was the son of Guy VI. de La Trémoille, called Le Vaillant (* 1346, † 1397 ), Lord of Jonvelle, and Marie de Sully, Princesse de Bois Belle ( the widow of Charles de Berry ( 1362-1382 ), Count of Montpensier and daughter of Jean de Valois, duc de Berry ). His younger brother was Georges de La Trémoille (* around 1382, † 1446 ). He fought in 1421 for his son Philip at the Battle of Mons -en- Vimeux, which ended with another victory over the troops of the Dauphin.

Jean de La Trémoille married on July 17, 1424 Jacqueline d' Amboise, daughter of Ingelger II (House Amboise ) and Jeanne de Craon. The couple had a daughter, Jacqueline, who was with Claude Gouffier, Marquis de Boisy married.
