Jean-Pierre Pincemin

Jean -Pierre Pincemin ( born April 7, 1944 in Paris, † May 17, 2005 in Arcueil ) was a French painter and sculptor.

Life

At the age of 23 years Pincemin started painting and gave his learned profession as a lathe operator. He first experimented on the canvas with prints, pigmentation, wrinkles and cuttings.

In 1968, his first exhibition was held. During this time he participated with other artists in the group Support / Surfaces in a discussion of the conditions and status of the painting. He then reflected on color and organization of colored surfaces in chess boards and strips.

In the late 1980s, he was oriented in the direction of representational painting, which he still was concerned with color harmonies and contrasts.

For Jean -Pierre Pincemin art is synonymous with experimentation and invention. This principle is the basis for an outstanding individual work for Him. This principle can be quite to the need to take its place in a tradition of painting.
