Jean-René Lisnard

Jean -René Lisnard ( born September 25, 1979 in Cannes) is a Monegasque tennis player. By the end of 2005, he played under the French flag, in 2006 he participated in the Monegasque citizenship and has since played for Monaco.

Career

Lisnard is active mainly on the Futures and Challenger Tour. In single and double, he won the Challenger Tour two titles. In 1999, due to a wildcard, he took first for the main draw at a Grand Slam tournament. However, he did not come out at the French Open against Sargis Sargsian on the first round. His best Grand Slam result he achieved in 2005 at Wimbledon, when he was able to advance to the third round. He is currently the only Monegasque, albeit with French roots that ever won a major round match at a Grand Slam.

He plays since 2007 for the Monaco Davis Cup team. In 11 appearances, he played 24 games. Both the individual with 12:5 and 4:3 in a double with his balance is positive. In the French Davis Cup team, he was never appointed.
