Jean-Sébastien Jaurès

Jean -Sébastien Jaurès ( born September 30, 1977 in Tours) is a French former football player at the position of a defender.

The defender, whose ancestors originate from Reunion Island, came in 1991 by the youth of the FC Tours for AJ Auxerre and began there in the 1995/96 season his pro career. For the season 2008/ 09 he moved free transfer to Borussia Mönchengladbach. Because of ongoing knee problems came Jaurès in the season 2010/2011 at no use at Borussia so that his running until 30 June 2011 contract was not renewed.

In his first season as a professional, he became French champion, but not a single game in the division had recorded one. In the same year he won the French U-19 national team's European Championship. In 2003 and 2005 he won with Auxerre twice the French National Cup; unlike 2003, he came in 2005 in the final ( 2:1 aet on CS Sedan) used.

End of March 2011 was Jaurés end of his career at the end of the 2010/11 season announced after he had constantly to struggle with knee injuries.
