Jeanlouis Cornuz

Jean Louis Cornuz ( born February 17, 1922 in Lausanne, † 14 October, 2007 Goumoens -la- Ville) was a French- Swiss writer and translator.

Life

Jean Louis Cornuz studied at the Universities of Lausanne and Zurich and received his doctorate on the French historian Jules Michelet. He has worked as a teacher, journalist and interpreter at the Nuremberg Trials. From 1994 to 2000 he was a member of the Vaud cantonal parliament ( Grand Conseil ) for the Parti Ouvrier et populaire (POP).

Cornuz has mainly novels and essays published, along with translated works of Ernst Wiechert, Gottfried Keller and Walter Matthias Diggelmann into French. He belonged to the founders of the group Olten.
