Jeju United FC

The Jeju United FC is a football franchise from Jeju, South Korea. Currently playing the franchise in the K League Classic, the top division of South Korea.

History

Originally, the franchise was founded in 1983 under the name Yukong Elephants FC. In its history, the team has undergone several name changes and change of location. Thus, the club was moved to Bucheon 1995 and was called from 1997 Bucheon SK, but still played to 2000 in a stadium in Seoul. From 2000 to 2006, the team wore their home games in Bucheon; it was followed by the move to Jeju and the renaming in Jeju United FC. Except for the championship in 1989, the franchise but also never played a greater role in South Korean football.

The Jeju United FC plays its home matches at the Jeju World Cup Stadium.
