Jelle Vanendert (born 19 February 1985 in Neerpelt ) is a Belgian racing cyclist.

Jelle Vanendert began his career in 2004 at the Belgian cycling team Jartazi Granville. From 2005 to 2007 he rode for the Continental Team Bodysol - Win for Life - Jong Vlaanderen. When Fleche Ardennaise 2005 he was fourth. In 2006 he won the Belgian one-day races GP Waregem. The road Cycling World Championships in Salzburg Vanendert was fifth in the road race in the U23 riders. Vanendert 2008 belonged to the French team Française des Jeux, for which he received his first major tour with the Vuelta a España. Since 2009 he runs Pharma-Lotto for Silence Lotto and Omega and took, among others, participate in the Giro d' Italia in 2009, the Vuelta a España 2010 and the 2011 Tour de France.

At the Tour de France 2011 Vanendert attacked on the 12th stage to Luz Ardiden, together with Samuel Sánchez had to leave the Spaniard shortly before the finish but draw and finished second. At the 14th stage to Plateau de Beille he managed to get away from the favorite group while they stalked, and won the stage win ahead of Sánchez. As a result, he wore four days the polka-dot jersey for the leader in the mountains classification. He finished the tour at the 20th place in the overall standings and third place in the mountains classification.

His younger brother Dennis Vanendert is also cyclists.
