Jérôme Samson

Jerome Samson ( born September 4, 1987 in Greenfield Park, Quebec ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is since July 2013 at the Winnipeg Jets of the National Hockey League contract.

Career

Jérôme Samson began his career as a hockey player in the Canadian Junior Football League QMJHL, in which he de Val- d'Or was active from 2004 to 2007 for the Moncton Wildcats and Foreurs. In 2006, he took with the Moncton Wildcats in part as hosts in the finals at the Memorial Cup and was awarded the George Parsons Trophy with this. On 2 July 2007 the winger signed a contract as a free agent with the Carolina Hurricanes, for their farm team Albany River Rats he played from 2007 to 2010 in the American Hockey League. In the 2009/10 season the right shooter was also his debut in the National Hockey League for the Carolina Hurricanes, where he prepared two goals in seven games.

In the season 2010/11 Samson played mainly for Carolinas new AHL farm team Charlotte Checkers. With these he was able to convince scorer with 54 points, including 26 goals, in 53 games. For this reason, he was allowed to take part in the AHL All- Star Classic and was significantly more common for the Hurricanes in the NHL used. For Carolina, it prepared in 23 games before two goals.

In July 2013, the Canadians signed a one-year contract with the Winnipeg Jets.
