Jerzy Radziwiłł (1556–1600)

Jerzy Radziwill ( born May 31, 1556 Vilnius, Lithuania; † January 21, 1600 in Rome, German Georg Radziwill, Lithuanian Jurgis also Radvilos ) was a cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church.

Radziwill's parents were Mikołaj " Czarny " Radziwill and Elżbieta Szydłowiecka. He studied in Leipzig and Rome.

On December 17, 1574, he was appointed Coadjutor Bishop of Archdiocese WillNa and was on December 31, 1579 Walerian Protasewicz successor as Bishop of WillNa, who died on the same day; he became governor ( namiestnik ) of Livonia.
