Jesper Jensen (ice hockey, born 1987)

Jesper Jensen (born 5 February 1987 in Nybro, Sweden ) is a Danish professional ice hockey player who is under contract at Karlskrona HK HockeyAllsvenskan since 2012.

Career

Jesper Jensen began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the junior department of the Nybro IF. From there he moved to the youth department of the Frederikshavn White Hawks, for their second team, he was in the second Danish league, the 1st Division, active from 2004 to 2007. In the season 2006/ 07, the Center issued parallel his debut for the first team of the club in the AL -Bank Ligaen. After spending the 2007/08 season at second division Gentofte HK, he played from 2008 to 2011 again for Frederikshavn in the AL -Bank Ligaen and became one of the leading players in his team. In the 2010/11 season he was runner-up with his team. He was elected to the All-Star team in the league.

For the 2011/12 season Jensen was engaged by the Hamburg Freezers of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga. For Freezers he scored a total of 55 games five goals and six assists. He then moved in summer 2012 to Karlskrona HK from the HockeyAllsvenskan, the Swedish second division.

Internationally

For Denmark Jensen participated exclusively at the U18 World Junior Championship in 2005 at junior level. In the senior level, he stood in his country's squad at the World Championships A- 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012.
