Jessy de Smet

Jessy de Smet ( born July 8, 1976 in Zottegem ) is a Belgian trance singer. Using her stage name Jessy she worked with "The Mackenzie " together before she started her solo career. Here some hits originated in Belgium and the UK.

During her time with "The Mackenzie " she had in Belgium hits Innocence, All I Need and Alive. Their album Angel then won the "Belgian TMF Award" for best album.

In 2002, she released her first solo single under the title Look @ Me Now. Shortly thereafter, in 2003, she released the French version of this song called Regardez -Moi. This was followed by the singles Head Over Heels, How Long, Silent Tears and Dancing In The Dark. In 2004 came in Belgium, among others, the produced by Regi Penxten album Rain in the trade. De Smet wrote almost all of the pieces on this album itself

In 2005, she released the single My Star with Verheyen & Vanvaeck.

Since the summer of 2006, she is working with Micky models. In 2006, she released a remix of Dancing in the Dark. The play was a great success in the UK. In 2007, she released the single Over You, a remix of I'll Get Over You from the album Rain. In summer 2007, their cover version of Maria McKee Show Me Heaven Hits was a small success.

An album with Mickey models as well as announced a new album for the Belgian fans. The next single was a song called Getting Out, a duet with Linda Mertens from Milk Inc., which is also privately friends with de Smet.

Since the end of 2008 she has worked with various producers on a new album. The album with Mickey models was obviously shelved. The first single from this album is titled I Can not Get Enough.

Jessy de Smet is one of the few dance artists who sing live.
