Jim Hutton

Jim Hutton ( born May 31, 1934 in Binghamton, New York, † June 2, 1979 in Los Angeles, actually Dana James Hutton ) was an American film and television actor.

Life

Hutton began his career during his time in the army at a German theater and was there discovered by a film director. In Hollywood, he caused a stir with a role in the film, including two students and 1966 in the film Not so fast, my boy with Cary Grant. In 1965, he starred in the Western comedy with The Hallelujah Trail. Hutton also took serious roles, as in 1965 in the film by director Sam Peckinpah Sierra Charriba and 1968 in the movie The Green Berets John Wayne, in which he also appeared as an actor. That same year, he starred in the Wayne's side in the movie Hellfighters.

In the 1970s he began to work primarily for television. So he played the title role Ellery Queen in the eponymous television film, which was later continued until 1976 as a series. Hutton's partner was the actor David Wayne, who presented his film father.

Jim Hutton died on June 2, 1979 in Los Angeles of liver cancer. He was ibid. buried at the Westwood Village Memorial Park Cemetery. His son, the actor Timothy Hutton, dedicated his 1981 Oscar, he received Best Supporting Actor.
