Jimi Tenor

Jimi Tenor ( born 1965 in Lahti, Finland as Lassi Lehto ) is a Finnish musician.

History

His stage name he borrowed the child star Jimmy Osmond and the tenor saxophone.

Initially he published with the industrial band Jimi Tenor and his Shamans several albums, he left Finland and lived in Berlin and New York City.

His first solo album Sähkomies ( electrician ), which was later re - released by the label Warp Records, contained the successful single Take Me Baby, which became a club hit in 1994 and is considered a classic in the techno music scene.

Since 1994 Tenor operates the Sahko sublabel Puu that the genres House, Easy Listening and Jazz is dedicated to.

After Tenors early works are more likely attributable to the electronic music, he turned increasingly from 1997 to the Jazz.
