Jimmy Andrews

Jimmy Andrews ( born 1 February 1927 in Invergordon, † September 12, 2012 ) was a Scottish football player.

Andrews joined in 1951 for £ 4750 from Scottish club Dundee FC to the English second division club West Ham United. There, the left-winger 114 came in five years to a total of 120 official matches, of which in the league. In 1956, he joined the local neighbors and league rivals Leyton Orient.

His career was close in the Third Division at the Queens Park Rangers, where he joined the coaching staff also following his playing career.

1974 Andrews took over as coach of Frank O'Farrell at Cardiff City. In his first season he went to the club to the third tier down, but remained in office and was able to celebrate the direct resurgence. In 1976, he won the Welsh Cup with Cardiff and twice took part in the European Cup Winners' Cup. In November 1978, he was dismissed and replaced by Richie Morgan. Subsequently, he was Scout at FC Southampton, before he retired from football.
