Jiří Vaněk (tennis)

Jiri Vanek ( born April 24, 1978 in Domažlice, then Czechoslovakia ) is a Czech tennis player.

Career

Vanek was primarily on the Challenger Tour celebrate successes. In individual, he won 11 titles in his career and another in doubles. On the ATP World Tour, he celebrated in 2005 in Acapulco his greatest success when he came with Tomáš Zíb to the finals. There they were subject to the Spaniards David Ferrer and Santiago Ventura. At Grand Slam tournaments he was neither in the individual nor in a double on the second round addition. 2000 and 2008 he took part in the Olympic Games in Sydney and Beijing. In Sydney, he retired in the second round of the singles match against Max Mirnyi, in Beijing, he already lost in the opening round.
