Joaquin Mir Trinxet

Joaquim Mir i Trinxet ( born January 6, 1873 in Barcelona, † April 27, 1940 ) was a Catalan painter, he is regarded as one of the most important representatives of Post- Modernism in Catalonia and Spain.

I studied at the Escola de Belles Arts de Barcelona Llotja, however, the study broke off. He was part of the group of artists Colla del Safrà (also called Colla de Sant Martí), which merged in 1893 and were among the Isidre Nonell, Ricard Canals, Ramon Pichot, July and Adrià Gual Vallmitjana.

In 1901 he moved to Mallorca and initially settled in Sa Calobra, where he created some of his most important images. Some of his paintings are in the museum, it Baluart in Palma de Mallorca issued.
