Job Getcha

Job of Telmessus ( civil Ihor Getcha Vladimir, Russian: Игорь Владимирович Геча; born January 31, 1974 in Montreal, Canada) is Archbishop of the Exarchate of orthodox churches of Russian tradition in Western Europe of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople Opel.

Life

Ihor began in 1996 his studies in Orthodox theology at the Ukrainian St. Andrew 's College, University of Manitoba and graduated in 1998 with the master at the Institut de Théologie Orthodox Saint- Serge in Paris. After he filed his vows on 28 September 1996 had adopted the religious name job and was ordained in the Ukrainian Cathedral of Saint Sophia in Montreal by Basil of Winnipeg as a deacon, he received on 27 May 1998, the tonsure and after his investiture, he was also consecrated a priest monk and raised to the rank of an archdeacon in 1999. After he was transferred to the Clergy of the Exarchate of orthodox churches of Russian tradition in Western Europe by the clergy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Canada ( Ecumenical Patriarchate), he received on 20 June 2003 by Gabriel of Comana to the priesthood. In 2003 he received his doctorate at the Institut Catholique de Paris and at the Institut de Théologie Orthodox Saint- Serge with the thesis The liturgical reform of Metropolitan Cyprian of Kiev. An introduction to the Liturgy of the Hours using the Typikons of St. Sabbas. He was at the Saint- Serge professor of church history and liturgy as well as between 2005 and 2007 dean. He then became professor of dogmatic and liturgical theology at the Institute of Postgraduate Studies in Chambesy. Until 2003 he served in the parish of St. Sergius in Paris as rector until 2004 and then as a pastor for churches in Spain. He, he was appointed on January 9, 2004 Igumen and on 18 July 2004 on the Archimandrite. On November 1, 2013 he was appointed by the Holy Synod elected Exarch with the title of Archbishop of Telmessus. His consecration as Bishop found on November 30, 2013 by Bartholomew I. George's Cathedral instead. In the cathedral of St. Alexander Nevsky in Paris took place his enthronement on 5 December 2013.

Archbishop Job is a member of the Assembly of Orthodox Bishops of France and Germany and the Central Committee of the World Council of Churches.
