Joby Baker

Joseph N. " Joby " Baker ( born March 26, 1934 in Montreal) is a Canadian actor.

Life

Baker had his television debut in 1952 in a guest role of the Red Skelton Show. After an uncredited undisclosed feature film role and another small guest appearance in a comedy show he received in 1958 the role of Stinky in the surf Comedy April, the men discovered next to Sandra Dee and James Darren. Subsequently, he played in a number of other movies of the early 1960s and had numerous appearances in hit series such as Dr. Kildare formats, Perry Mason and Gunsmoke.

1966 Baker played in the Elvis Presley comedy Curve Lily and was seen in later years in some Disney movies. In 1968 he received a starring role in the sitcom Good Morning World on the side of Ronnie Schell, but this was discontinued after the end of the first season with 26 episodes. In the 1970s, his film roles were rare, he had his last television appearance in 1984.

Baker was married to his first wife, from 1959 to 1961 with the actress Joan Blackman, whom he had met in drama school. From his second marriage he has two children. In his third marriage, he was married from 1986 until her death in 2012 with the writer and singer-songwriter Dory Previn.
