Jodie Rimmer

Jodie Rimmer ( born 1974 ) is a New Zealand film and theater actress.

Life

Rimmer went from 1990 in various New Zealand TV productions. After a role in the television series Melody Rules was followed from the late 1990s appearances on international television productions such as Xena - Warrior Princess, Young Hercules and Hercules.

In 1998, she worked as a presenter for the TV show Behind the Wheel. In 1999 they took over I'll Make You Happy as a juvenile prostitute Siggy her first starring role in a feature film.

An international audience it was established in 2004 for her role as Jackie in the film adaptation Father's Den known on the side of Matthew Macfadyen and Emily Barclay.

She subsequently appeared in plays such as Insignificance (2004), The Jungle (2006) and Rabbit (2008) on Auckland's Silo Theatre. Especially for her acting in The Jungle Rimmer received outstanding reviews.

In 2009 she appeared at the side of Joel Edgerton, Rhona Mitra, Danielle Cormack and Thomas Kretschmann in Separation City.

Private life

Mid-1990s was Rimmer romantically involved with actor Joel Tobeck. Since 1 January 2011, she is married to lawyer Tim Riley. Their son came in March 2010 with the world. She lives in Auckland.
