Jofre Mateu
Jofre Mateu González ( born January 24, 1980 in Alpicat, Catalonia ) is a Spanish footballer who is under contract with FC Girona since summer 2012.
Playing career
B- Team
Jofre comes from the youth of FC Barcelona. The Catalans he played from 1996 to 2000 four years regularly in midfield. He made his debut at the age of 17 years. Even in his inaugural season with Barça B Jofre rose from Segunda División B in the. In the following season, however, results in the direct return to professional football, followed by renewed descent. In the season 1999/2000 Jofre spent another year in Barça B team in Segunda División B, before to Mallorca B, another third division moved 2000. Professional football
In summer 2002, Jofre moved to second division relegation-threatened Levante UD. Against all odds, he reached with UD Levante in the first year to fourth place and just missed the rise. After the descent 2008, he left the club and moved to the Segunda División to Rayo Vallecano. Two years later he joined the league rivals Real Valladolid. After two years there he moved to FC Girona.
