Johan de Kock

Johannes " Johan " de Kock ( born October 25, 1964 in Sliedrecht ) is a former Dutch football player.

De Kock began his career at FC Groningen. In 1987 he moved to FC Utrecht. From 1994 to 1996 he played for Roda JC Kerkrade. For the season 1996/97 he moved to FC Schalke 04 with FC Schalke 04 he won the 1997 UEFA Cup. In the second round he scored two goals in the second leg against Trabzonspor. After the 1999/2000 season he had to end his career due to injury.

With the Dutch national football team de Kock took part in the European Football Championship 1996. He arrived there in four games for use.

Trained as a road and hydraulic engineer, he was also involved in the construction of the Arena auf Schalke.

As a coach, he has worked so far in the amateur field. First, he spent two years in vv Rheden before he gained further practical experience as an intern at De Graafschap and Roda JC. He then spent two years at Germania from Groesbeek, he transferred to the second, the second year in the first year to the first place of their league. During the 2008/ 09 season, de Kock took over as coach at Groesbeek local rivals De Treffers, who played in the highest amateur class. The following season, the masters were hit and went up into the top echelon in which they reached the fifth place in 2010. When his team in October of the season 2010/11 only came in tenth place and had only three points clear of the relegation zone, the club ended the collaboration.

In December 2013 de Kock was appointed for three years in the Supervisory Board of Koninklijke Nederlandse Voetbal Bond.
