Johan Röjler

Johan Röjler ( born November 11, 1981 in Örebro ) is a Swedish speed skater.

Johan Röjler in 2000 in Seinäjoki Junior World Champion in the small four- fight, after he had in the previous two years still twelfth and sixth. He was again fourth in 2001. In the World Cup he made his debut in November 1999 in Inzell, where he was over 5000 meters 17 in the B group. Four years later he came in tenth in the 10,000 meters in Erfurt for the first time in the Top Ten. In December 2005, he reached at this track in Heerenveen sixth his best-ever placing in an individual World Cup races. Only in the team, he could be placed better with Daniel Friberg and Joel Eriksson with second place in February 2007 in Erfurt. Best place in the World Cup was a tenth rank over 5000/10.000 yards in the season 2005/06.

The long-haul specialist stepped aside from 2006 every year since 2001 at World Championships. He reached in 2007 in Salt Lake City, where he took both the team and the 10,000 meters sixth places his best results. Also he reached sixth place in the European Championship in the Big Four battle in 2006 in Hamar. At Olympic Games took Röjler 2002 in Salt Lake City and Turin 2006 part. In the U.S., he started on 1500 ( 38 ) and 5000 meters ( 22 ), in Turin on 1500 ( 33 ) 5000 ( 12 ) and 10,000 meters ( 10 ). Ten times the Swede won national titles, he came seven more times on the podium.

Röjler is athlete ambassador of development organization Right to Play.
